April 1st release... an album of ambient electric guitar: Inner Sanctum
Inner Sanctum
Born from mindful presence in the deep hibernation of a Vermont winter, Inner Sanctum carries the listener into the dreamtime with 22 tracks of lush, ambient electric guitar.
Recorded over the course of three days in January 2025 by Raphael in his Humming Bird Studio, located in the Green Mountains of Vermont. In the weeks that followed the recording, Raphael mixed and ordered the songs to create the sonic journey that is Inner Sanctum. A journey that carries the listener into the embrace of the sanctuary within until they emerge awake, attuned and renewed.
"With Becca on retreat in Maine, I gave myself the time and space to enter the bear cave and tap into my creative flow. The whole experience was magic. The name, inner sanctum, came to me shortly after the concept of the album, but the cover image showed itself to me in a meditation one night. In my inner visions, Bear came
to me and reminded me that this music was made in the time of hibernation, during the time of the cave. It is intended to assist the listener in accessing their own inner sanctum. A place of rest and dreams and peace.”
